Obituary of Douglas Wayne McCaw

Douglas Wayne McCaw, was born on April 17, 1958 in Chicago, at Great Lakes Naval Hospital.  He left this Earth on March 23, 2021.   He is predeceased by his mother, Sue Manush McCaw, father, Pern Charles McCaw, sister Kelly Joyce McCaw, and nephew, Pern Heinie McCaw, Jr.   

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen McCaw, brother Pern McCaw, Sr., niece, Lindsey Biswas, nephew, James McCaw, niece, Jessica Ulrich, great niece, Skylar Biswas and great nephews, Colten and Nolan McCaw, cousins, Vickie Grosvenor, Debbie Zuckerman, Mike Zuckerman, Gregg McCaw,  Jim McCaw, Lynne Armitage and Steve McCaw.  Uncle and Aunt, Jim and Cindy McCaw. 

He worked in the plumbing industry most of his adult life, and he watched Sarasota change and grow from a small town, to the bustling community that we have today.   He loved playing golf since he was a young child.  He was an avid golf, football, baseball, NASCAR, and hockey fan.   He enjoyed hunting and fishing, grilling and just being outdoors.    

Doug never met a stranger, he enjoyed talking with anyone.  He will be immensely missed by all who knew him especially, his wonderful dog, Buster Brown.  A Celebration of his life, is being planned for April 17th.   Memorial donations, to the Humane Society of Sarasota County, would be appreciated.
