Obituary of Donna L. Harrington

Donna Lucia Harrington,  January 26, 1956 – September 8, 2021, beloved wife and mother who loved God, her husband and children. 

Donna leaves behind her husband of 33 years Avery Harrington, three children; Angela Dinwoodie of Apollo Beach, FL, Robert Dinwoodie of Pace, FL, and Sadarah James of Perry, GA; 5 grandchildren, Haden Hall, Mackenzie Hall, Hadley Hall, R.W. Dinwoodie and Avery James.  She is preceded in death by her grandmother Frida Bourne, father Don E. Roberts and mother Jacqueline Miller.   

Donna was born in Bluefield, West Virginia and moved to Sarasota at the age of 6 months old.  She graduated from Riverview H.S. in 1974.  Donna was a soloist in the Riverview H.S. Radio Choir.  She served on numerous Christian retreat weekends in Georgia and the southeast.  Growing up in Sarasota she was actively involved in 4H, serving in various positions at the state and local levels.  She was crowned Miss Sarasota in 1975.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
