Obituary of James Edward Belter

James Edward Belter - Jim was called by God on September 15, 2021 leaving his beloved wife Puy, sister Patricia Shaw Cavitt Lee of Michigan, Martha Belter Pennington of Wisconsin, Mina Belter Genzler of Wisconsin and Michael Belter of Minnesota.  Jim is also survived by his best friend Stu Dawley.  Stu and Jim talked every week and had a wonderful friendship for decades.  Jim will be missed by his many nieces and nephews as well.     

Jim met Puy in Thailand in 2010 at a grocery store when she helped him. Puy was working at her aunt’s restaurant and going to beauty school. Jim enjoyed his visits to Thailand and especially his relationship with Puy. They married on July 24, 2013 in Pataya, Thailand and moved to Sarasota that same year. Jim’s later years were very happy with Puy. 

Jim was a Senior Staff Consultant for Craft-Barresi Consultants, Ltd. For 20 years.   

Jim loved spending time with his siblings and Puy and will be truly missed.
