Obituary of Jennifer Ann Pratt

Jennifer Ann Pratt (née Price) passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 8th in Siesta Key, Florida at the age of 77. Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Edward Curtis Pratt, her sons, Judson and Scott (Crystal) Pratt, and her granddaughters Kaleigh and Samantha Pratt. Jennifer was born on March 18, 1944 to the late Wilson and June (Murdoch) Price. 

Jennifer graduated in June of 1962 from Poland High School and attended Youngstown State University, where she met Curtis. The two were later married in Youngstown on June 18, 1966 at Gibson Heights Presbyterian Church. After earning a Bachelor’s in Education and later a Master’s in Special Education, Jennifer worked as a schoolteacher at Boardman Schools. She specialized for many years in 5th and 6th grade special education and retired from Boardman Middle School in 2003. Jennifer lived with her husband and two sons in Boardman, Ohio, later moving to Poland, Ohio. 

She was often known as Jenny by those close to her. Everyone who met her knew her to be compassionate and welcoming. She was famous for her sense of style, love towards others, and contagious laugh that could spread to everyone in the room. Jenny dedicated her life to helping others and impacted the lives of many. Her kindness was appreciated by all who knew her. Even after her diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, Jenny stayed true to herself and her heart.
