Obituary of Eileen Marie Paddock

Eileen Marie Paddock, age 60, passed unexpectedly on December 9, 2023, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch, FL. She was born in Middletown, CT to Mildred Crafts Paddock and Howard Wells Paddock on July 23, 1963.

Eileen attended Cromwell High School in Cromwell, CT in the Special Education Program finishing in 1984. She participated in Special Olympics events and the Connecticut Grange as well as being a devout member of the First Church of Christ Congregational in Middletown. She worked for 25 years at the Middlesex Hospital in food services. In 2011 she moved to Florida and became part of the Beach Manor Villa Community.

Eileen thrived in Venice and touched the lives of many diverse groups. These include Pinkies Players at the Venice Theatre, the YMCA dancing divas, hospital volunteers (she was the popcorn lady) and as a Buddy Break helper at the Venice Presbyterian Church. Her passion was dancing, and she performed at the Venice Theatre, the Church, and just about anywhere there was an audience. She particularly enjoyed her time spent in NIA class. She always had a smile and a positive outlook. In October of this year, she moved to The Haven in Sarasota to begin the next and sadly final phase of her life.

Surviving family members include her sisters, Lois Stufflebeam (James) of Venice, FL, Evelyn McIntyre (Jim) of Vonore, TN; brother-in-law Keith Klinedinst of Hudson, MA; nephews Brad (Caitlin) of Hudson, MA, Craig (Emily) Klinedinst of Sherrills Ford, NC and Trevor McIntyre (Megan) of Chicago, IL; great nephews Mitchell, Andrew, and Connor; great nieces Gabriella, Julia and Caroline. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister Barbara Klinedinst and nephew Ryan McIntyre.

Eileen will be remembered for her love and passion to dance, UConn Basketball, the Boston Red Sox, virgin strawberry daiquiris, winning at Yahtzee and her quick wit. She aspired to become a fitness coach.

A memorial service will be held at Venice Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, January 30th at 10 am. Eileen will be laid to rest with her parents in Kelsey Cemetery, Cromwell, CT.
