Obituary of Norma Lee Evans

Norma “Jackie” Evans age 96 of Englewood, FL formally of Florissant, MO passed away in Tarpon Springs, FL on February 5, 2024. Jackie was born on February 9, 1927, in Cantwell, MO to Virgil and Nellie Prince. Jackie retired from McDonald Douglas in St. Louis MO and started her banking career as a Customer Service Rep when she relocated to Englewood in 1978. She was also a member of B.P.O Does #203 of Englewood and also a member of Lady of the Moose.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents; brother “Buddy” Prince; son Robert Evans Jr.; sister Erma Pugh; husband Robert Evans; and daughter Karen Mercer

Left to cherish her memory are her granddaughter, Tina Caron; grandson Jeffery (Semone) Caron; great-grandchildren Dakota Caron, Alexander (Lynnsey) Caron, Jordan Caron, and Tyler Caron; great-great granddaughter Isabella Caron; son-in-law Warren Mercer; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Missouri.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15th from 5 pm-7 pm at Farley Funeral Home in Venice. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, February 16th at 11:00 am at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Englewood, FL with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
