Obituary of John P. Englund

John P. Englund, 87, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Woburn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 10th, 2024. John was born on March 19th, 1936, in Somerville, Massachusetts to his parents, Carl and Gertrude Englund.

He served in the United States Air Force and during his working career, he worked for Equifax as an Insurance Investigator. He was also very passionate about supporting many charities including, Tunnel to Tower’s, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.

He is preceded in death by loving wife of 64 years, Nancy G. Englund, who passed in 2022.

John is survived by his children, John P. Englund Jr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Robert C. Englund of Santa Clara, California, and Deborah J. Englund of North Port, Florida; grandchildren, John P. Englund III of Concord, Massachusetts, and Kathrine C. Kish of Littleton, Massachusetts; great grandson, Avery L. Kish of Littleton, Massachusetts; and brother, Stephen Englund of Florida.

A committal service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
