Lisa Marino

Obituary of Lisa Mary Marino

Lisa Mary Marino, 60, of North Port, Florida, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on 03/07/2024, surrounded by her loving fiancé, family and friends.

Her departure comes as a great shock and leaves a deep wound felt by her entire family and countless friends, who loved her deeply.

Lisa was formerly of Wareham, MA, spent many years as a child in Middleboro and Taunton, MA, graduated from East Bridgewater High School, then lived in Rhode Island for many years prior to returning to Wareham before moving to North Port, Florida with her fiancé, to live her “dream life”.

In a time not many women worked in the construction field, Lisa thrived for many years designing bathrooms and kitchens.  She loved talking to customers and seeing their dream projects come to life with her designs.

As much as Lisa loved this career, her true life’s passion was animals, namely birds and dogs.  Over the years Lisa owned a big colorful Macaw, an Umbrella Cockatoo and several Grey Parrots.  It was nothing to see Lisa walking in the grocery store with one of them perched on her shoulder.  One cannot count the number of dogs Lisa owned, rescued and loved.  Some of her favorites were Duke and Baby, Irish Red & White Setters and Sebastien her Dalmatian.  Her most favorite was her current, white French Bulldog, “Sugar”, her true baby, a gift from her fiancé after arriving in Florida.  Fondly known as “Security”, she would loudly announce the arrival of visitors, and protect Lisa from all the turtles, bunnies, armadillos, and other woodland creatures.  Sugar was Lisa’s 4-legged baby, and they were inseparable.

The other love of Lisa’s life was her fiancé, Ernie, who doted on Lisa for her every wish.  They shared many memories with their close friends, Cori and Steve, Sandy and Al, Sue and Wayne, Sheila and Bill, Nancy and Rick and the 2 Cheryls, going to the Twisted Fork for concerts and attending many, many pool parties with her Shrimp Mozambique and Trifle dessert in hand.  Wherever Lisa went everyone loved her, her ability to speak to anyone easily, always wanting to help others feel their best and her infectious laugh.

Lisa started most days either facetiming with her cousins Stacey and Kathy in Maine or talking to her sisters on the phone, while drinking her endless Vanilla coffees.  She spent her leisure days cooking or baking with Bev, her fiancé’s mom and enjoying Sunday dinners with his sister, Sue and husband Larry.  If she wasn’t cooking, Lisa was sitting by the pool, laying on her favorite beach in Inglewood or running with Sugar at the “Dog Beach” or the “Dog Park.”  At night she loved to catch up on her favorite ION and USA shows, like Chicago PD and Chicago Fire.  Lisa had a passion for dressing nice even if just staying home.  She would brag about all her “finds” from her favorite Goodwill Store where she also found amazing treasures she proudly displayed throughout their beautiful home.  Lisa also had a magical singing voice, and you would often hear her singing along with her eclectic love of music, whether Country, Christian or top 40s.

Lisa is predeceased by both her parents; her father, Anthony Marino; her Mom, Anne Marie Keefe Kiley, and her 3 sisters, Susan Ricketson, Kathleen Marino and Annemarie Marino and her 2  brothers, Anthony Marino Jr .and Michael Marino.

Lisa is survived by her sister Susan’s 2 adult daughters Jessica Savage and her husband Damon and Sarah Ricketson and her husband Dave Mahan, brother John Marino and his wife Paige and their 3 adult children, Evan, Jacob and Amber Joy, her sister Catherine Marino and her partner Randy St. Germaine and her 3 adult kids, Jarad Lemieux and his wife Jill, Marissa Lemieux and Lucas Jenkins and her sister Annemarie’s 2 sons, Ian and Christopher, and sister Marti Fernandes and her husband Tim and her 5 adult children, Rachael Porter and her fiancé John, Andrew Porter and his wife Anika, Mikey Porter and his fiancé Georgianna Coelho, Galen Porter and his wife Jocelyn, and the youngest sister Sicily-ana; plus many cousins and several great nieces and nephews and a great, great niece.  Lisa deeply loved her entire family and spending as much time with them creating lasting memories and stories to tell for years to come.

Rest in Peace our loving baby daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend…..the world has lost a special person, but heaven has gained a very special angel.
