Obituary of Barbara Gay McIlvain
Barbara Gay McIlvain, age 89, of Venice, FL, passed away on March 9, 2024. She was born to William and Ruey DeLange on October 17, 1934, in Grand Mound, Iowa. Barbara and her husband, Burt moved to Venice from Connecticut in 1972 and were the owners of The Resort Shop on West Venice Avenue until 1997.
Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling in the motorhome, and her artwork.
She is survived by her husband, Burt; daughters Shereen G. Peterson and Elizabeth A. VanDyke; and many other loving family members.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 19, from 10-1 at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel, with a service to follow. The burial will be at Venice Memorial Gardens after the service.
